6. Privacy policy

By using Monopay, you agree to Monopay collecting and storing data in order to provide you with the best possible user experience.

There are basically three types of data:

1) Your contact and payment information, which you enter on Monopay’s site in connection with your registration and use of Monopay. The information is shared with the online shop, which needs it in order to know where to ship your items. We also use it to withdraw the money for your purchase.

2) Information about your purchase. Monopay receives information about your purchase from the online shop, which is used, for example, to display your purchase receipts.

3) Server statistics for measuring traffic, which are used to optimise operation, develop new services and provide a better user experience.

The information may be used in connection with electronic marketing by the online sellers you have purchased from or by Monopay. Based on your purchase history, we can customise great deals for you which you simply can’t miss out on. But we hate spam e-mails too, so we will always limit the number of messages to a minimum and make them as relevant to you as possible. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time via the link in newsletters.

When collecting personal information through our website, we ensure that it is always done with your explicit consent so that you are kept informed about exactly what information is collected and why. We keep your personal data only for as long as it is needed to offer you our service.

All personal information is transmitted over an encrypted TLS connection. Personal information is not stored in encrypted form.

Both the online seller and Monopay will have access to the information that is registered about you.

The online seller you purchase from acts as a data controller, as does Monopay ApS, Nauhøjvej 19, DK-8410 Rønde, Denmark. Personal information is not passed on or sold to third parties. Information is, however, shared with selected and trusted third parties who are entitled to use your personal information to deliver the items you have ordered and to keep you informed of the status of your order. Furthermore, Monopay reserves the right to share or sell anonymous, general statistical data on traffic and buying patterns.

Monopay does not handle or store payment card details. This information is handled and stored by PCI-certified subcontractors who are subject to ongoing security checks.

As a registered user with the online shop and Monopay, you are always entitled to object to the registration. You also have the right to know what information is held about you.
